Years ago the wisdom might have been to suggest something like a U2, Canberra or B52 because of their wing lending itself well to a glider, these days there's nothing that can't be done. The Andy Conway Hawk is ever popular. I've also seen a few of the ARTF electric warbirds converted for slope with great results as they're so light.

Hiya Bill, Matts advice is right, there are loads of ARTF models aimed at electric flight that can easily and successfully be converted to PSS, a good way into the division of the hobby as you dont put hours and hours of building time in only to find you dont take to sloping!? But I think you said on email you were a seasoned slope soarer and here you also say you are an experienced builder...so...
If you want to build from scratch I would recommend the Andy Conway Hawk or Ron Collins Sabre plans if you fancy a jet. And if you prefer a prop model, then the Steve Griffiths/Mike Briggs Tucano or the Alan Hulme Mustang are great models to start with.
All of these plans are available from our members, just drop me a line at webmaster@pssaonline.co.uk if you want more details.
If you are really brave, with the experience you have you could always draw your own design ;D
