I need to add some small areas of detail to a film covered model and paint's the only option. Having never tried it will it work if I:
1 - Give it a quick rub with some Wet 'n Dry to provide a key 2 - Use Humbrol enamels
Answers on a postcard ;D

Hi Matt, ProFilm can be painted, no problem. A key like you suggest is advisable with a fine grit sandpaper or wet and dry. The biggest problem is how not to sand those areas you don't want to paint (and therefore don't need to key!) But it will accept paint no problem, there are many examples of modellers covering in Silver (Pro or Solafilm) and then painting on top - when the paint wears a little or is scratched (by landing on heather - or rocks haha!) the paint reveals a true to life 'bare metal' finish. Looks great on Leading Edges of warbirds... but keyed properly Profilm will take paint just fine... hope this helps. Phil
